    Information and Referral Specialist (Part-time and Full-time)

    Under the direction of the Client Services Manager, the Information & Referral Specialist is a client-focused position serving English- and/or Spanish-speaking individuals in Orange County, and is primarily responsible for providing information, resources, and crises assistance to clients contacting 2-1-1OC through the helpline, email, texting, outreach events, or any other means identified by 2-1-1OC management. We are a high volume contact center and the front line to providing assistance to those in need. We are looking for articulate, caring, good communicators, who are able to maintain a calm and professional demeanor, think on their feet, yet able to handle the call volume we receive from routine questions to more complex issues. We put our callers’ needs first, as we are here to serve our community.

    This is a 40 hour a week position (full-time), primarily weekdays, with occasional weekend coverage needed in exchange for days off during the week. Flexibility in this regards is required. Additionally we have a Part-time position, 20 hours/week.

    Enrollment Specialist

    Under the direction of the Enrollment Coordinator, the Enrollment Specialist is primarily responsible for helping people over the phone assess their eligibility and successfully apply for benefit programs including, but not limited to: CalFresh (known federally as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP), Medi-Cal, Low Cost Utility Assistance, California Alternative Rates for Energy Program (CARE) and other approved application processes.

    Must be able to commit to working 40 hours per week, typically Monday - Friday. Schedule will change as needed, and flexibility is required.
