The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), Victim Services and Public Safety Branch, is pleased to announce the release of the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Specialized Emergency Housing (KE) Program. The purpose of the KE Program is to expand emergency shelter and emergency housing assistance resources in California and provide specialized services for victims of crime. Projects must identify an unmet emergency shelter or emergency housing need in their community and propose an innovate solution. There is approximately $4,600,000 available for the KE Program for 2017-18. 

    Applicants may request up to $575,000 for a 24-month subaward performance period that commences October 1, 2017, and ends September 30, 2019.

    Proposals are due Monday, August 14, 2017.

    Emergency Food and Shelter Program Phase 34 Funding Notice of Funds Available The Orange County Emergency Food & Shelter Program (OC EFSP) received $1,221,590 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county. Local agencies are encouraged to apply but must meet all of the criteria in order to receive funding. Click here for the Notice.


    The Orange County CoC will begin solicitation of Request for Qualifications (RFQ), for New Permanent Housing Projects which are due Friday, July 21st, 2017 at 3:00pm (PST). The Request for Qualifications will be a thorough review of an agency’s capacity to administer a CoC homeless permanent housing project in the Orange County CoC while complying with HUD requirements as indicated in the Threshold Requirements for Agency Section of the RFQ. Agencies determined to meet the Threshold Requirements will be invited to participate if a Request for Proposals (RFP) for New Permanent Housing Projects is released.
